Steeped in the very best traditions of pure Rock, Pop n' Roll, Something Catchy endeavor to create a musical style we can proudly call our very own. Based on a three-part instrumental back-line.. generating the distinctive blend of Fender Guitars and Jazz Bass with Ludwig Drums mixed with unsurpassed lead vocals and superb four-part vocal harmony. The result.. an atmospheric production of colourful, high-quality, easy listening, 'sound pictures'.

And... all of this done live without the need for any electronic or technological trickery.

THE PRODUCTION..

Something Catchy are proud of the unique approach we have purposely developed towards the selection of live music we play.To start with, each individual song must be a Rock. Pop n' Roll classic and have a powerful and meaningful presence of its very own. Stripped down into all its component parts, Something Catchy completely rebuild it from scratch. By using the band members own individual touches, surprises and musical innovations, then allowing clever and subtle musical links between the songs to take their place - medley's of genre hits are skillfully linked, combining artfully with our seamless, continuous on-stage performance.

Some might say they are just 'cover's.. and indeed cover's they are.. but.. these are covers of one almighty difference.

THE LIVE PERFORMANCE..

As carefully selected and produced as our songs are, they still need to be performed as near to musical perfection as can possibly be achieved. Something Catchy are rehearsed hard and often, and by using both personal, self-criticle and customer acclaim, we are constantly refining and defining new ideas and musical ways. It's our way of providing you, our customer, with a highly individualised and personalised special event. Whilst performing on-stage Something Catchy are constantly monitoring and 'reading' the emotional needs, moods and reactions of our reposed and dancing audiences. Ongoing, throughout the evening these needs are forever changing.. so Something Catchy change and adapt the musical mood.. endeavoring to provide a musical ambience in many different, varied and appropriate ways.
